Our collaboration with Doe Leather
A5 Leather Notebook / Diary Cover in Black bridle leather. Designed to fit perfectly around our Notebook Mark One, Mark Two and Diary, the leather cover can be used again and again. The beautiful bridle leather will only improve with age, as it takes on a patina with use. Since 2018, we have added a subtle elastic band to accommodate larger pens and pencils. The leather pen loops are taken from Doe’s 70-year-old archive of embossed leather swatches, passed down now through three generations. Each of our leather covers has a unique colour loop. Special colour requests subject to availability.
The Mark+Fold Notebook
Born of a life-long passion for notebooks and many years of refinement, our classic notebook is designed to offer you uninterrupted writing time, so you can find your flow and achieve great things. From the paper choice, to the binding, every detail has been considered for the optimum writing experience. The paper is super smooth, sustainably made, with excellent opacity and no feathering, making it excellent for fountain pen. We use thread-sewn binding with cold glue, a technique normally reserved for fine bindings and artist publications, which results in an extremely robust and totally flexible notebook than flops open perfectly flat on your desk.
Choose between plain, lined and dot grid pages, to suit your personal preference. Our lined and dot pages were designed in close consultation with our customers, who helped us find the sweet-spot for comfortable writing that looks presentable and makes efficient use of the writing space.

A good notebook should open flat without force, for a comfortable writing experience. Our specialist layflat binding combines thread-sewing with cold glue, to retain flexibility. The results speak for themselves — a book that is as robust as it is elegant.

Our paper-based packaging is designed to be re-used, and then recycled. Our glassine envelopes and hand-wrapped bible paper replace single-use plastics.

We proudly share every step of our production process. We work exclusively with specialist printers and book-binders in UK and Europe who share our perfectionism and attention to detail.
Minimising waste
Initiatives like Pre-orders and Seconds Sales help to avoid over-production or waste. Our like-minded bindery recycles even the paper dust created during production.
