Meet our local makers

We proudly share every last detail of our materials and making processes. It all starts with who we choose to work with and where they are. Our local network of sustainable makers are an integral part of our team and our products. Their proximity means we can visit them regularly and work collaboratively to create beautifully-made paper goods.

Brothers James and Mark set up their printing company 50 years ago. We have worked closely with them since 2015, and many of our Christmas cards, foiled notebook covers and all of our Desktop pads have been printed here on their beautiful traditional Heidelberg presses.

Cold glue binding in Flanders

Our specialist book-bindery and the passionate team there, led by Patrick, have had a hand in every batch of layflat notebooks and diaries we have made since 2015. The region is steeped in printing and book-binding tradition, with children able to specialise in print production studies from the age of 12. The skills, knowledge and attention to detail are plain to see, and an asset to every piece we make together.
