Intuitive design
We created our award-winning diary layout in conversation with our customers. The intuitive layout provides structure without being prescriptive, offering the perfect blank canvas for your plans.
A5 minimal week-view diary, 120gsm fountain-pen-friendly paper, thread-sewn layflat binding
Each year, in addition to our classic Diary colours, we produce a limited batch of hand-made special edition numbered copies. This year we have partnered with Community Clothing to create a custom-made paper using offcuts from their jeans factory in Lancashire.
Developed in conversation with our customers and following decades of observations about what works well (and what doesn't), we created our unique diary layout in 2016.
The simple grid is designed to give you maximum writing space and just enough structure to organise your plans, but without getting in your way. We like to give you the freedom to create your own system, so the light-touch layout feels almost like an invisible frame to hold your notes and plans. Creating an instinctive picture-of-the-week to jog your memory and help you scope out your commitments. Designed in 2016 by Swiss-German typographic designer Catherine Nippe in collaboration with Mark+Fold founder Amy Cooper-Wright.

We created our award-winning diary layout in conversation with our customers. The intuitive layout provides structure without being prescriptive, offering the perfect blank canvas for your plans.
In carefully selecting our papers, we consider everything from the feel of the paper in your hands, to its opacity, smoothness and resistance to feathering with fountain pen.
When you sit at your desk to make grand plans, the last thing you need is an annoying distraction like a book that will not open flat. Our specialist layflat binding combines thread-sewing with cold glue. Normally reserved for artist publications, this special technique creates a book that is as robust as it is elegant.
Our paper-based packaging is designed to be re-used, and then recycled. Our glassine envelopes and hand-wrapped bible paper replace single-use plastics.
We proudly share every step of our production process. We work exclusively with specialist printers and book-binders in UK and Europe who share our perfectionism and attention to detail.
Initiatives like Pre-orders and Seconds Sales help to avoid over-production or waste. Our like-minded bindery recycles even the paper dust created during production.
