2024 DIARY | SPECIAL EDITION
Now in its eighth year, the Mark+Fold Diary is appreciated by stationery connoisseurs around the world and we are proud to gain new converts each year. Our award-winning layout provides clarity and structure without being prescriptive, so you have the freedom to create your own 'system'. Being avid stationery lovers ourselves, we use only the most exceptional paper — made in Sweden, silky smooth, and fountain-pen-friendly.
THE SPECIAL EDITION DIARY
Each year, we produce our diary in a selection of colours, each a small batch. We also make a Special Edition which is a 'micro-batch' of hand-made copies, which are individually numbered. This is an opportunity to showcase the finest hand book-binding techniques and printing methods like screen-printing, featuring playful bold typography and really celebrating book craft in all its glory. You can request a specific number from the batch, subject to availability.
Please note the paper we use for the pages has had to change this year, due to one of our favourite mills in Scotland closing down. Read more here

'I really appreciate having a high quality "canvas" to organise however I want. I was actually really surprised by how hard it was to find a planner that's sophisticated and sleek. A lot of the covers are over-the-top or the inside is too prescriptive or the quality just isn't there, so I'm so glad I stumbled across yours.' Kate, Hereford
This is the absolute best "week at a glance" page layout that I've ever seen in a planner. The details are all right. I love the space at the left of the week to write a to-do list or weekly goals. The space above each day's section to label important days/holidays. The ability to use the day section by time (morning, afternoon, evening) or as a to-do list, or both. And the space below to write extraneous notes. It's brilliant!' Joel, Chicago
The Mark+Fold Diary layout is the result of extensive research into existing diary layouts, and in-depth discussions with our customers about what they felt was and wasn't working for them.
We focused on providing a clear 'picture of the week' using elegant, clean typography and neat 'zoning' of the page. We have kept things as simple as possible, with a view to offering structure without being prescriptive. The aim was to inspire you to make plans and feel excited about getting organised, but with the freedom to build your own 'system' — one that works for you and your life.
HOW IT'S MADE
We use a fountain-pen-friendly 120gsm paper, which is super smooth and a beautiful, warm off-white shade. It is made sustainably in Sweden.
All our notebooks and diaries are bound in thread-sewn sections with cold glue, resulting in a book that is as robust as it is elegant. The cover is attached via a strong 'hinge' front and back, rather than having any stiff glue applied along the spine itself. This allows for beautiful flexibility and a perfect 'layflat' for the most comfortable writing experience. We use only FSC-certified papers.
Our Special Edition is hand-bound at one of London's most prestigious binderies, where the craft of bookbinding is kept alive and passed on to the younger generation. We are honoured to work with this team of expert restorers and book-binders, having first collaborated in 2021.
As a Mark+Fold Diary customer, you benefit from a special price on selected 'add-ons.' These are items which were designed to work in conjunction with the diary, or which have proven popular in our community of diary users. Add any of these to your cart with any diary and you’ll automatically receive the special pricing. Browse add-ons
We make a series of removable diary covers, to avoid single use of valuable resources, and designed to protect your diary in an elegant and distinctive style. I just started using my new 2023 planner and I am already in love with it. First of all, the quality is excellent. I love the linen cover and the huge 23 on the cover - so chic! And, secondly, I love the vertical weekly format inside - I'm used to a horizontal weekly, but I am falling for this vertical layout. Oh, and the paper is just lovely and takes all kinds of ink perfectly. I'm looking forward to filling up the planner in 2023 and seeing how chunky it will get with all the paper ephemera I stuff in it throughout the year. A definite favorite! I love that I can always rely on Mark+Fold for quality items.
As a stationary lover I couldn’t wait to get it! Well made, nicely planned pages and looks so nice too. Notebooks and pencils just as lovely.
This diary sits at my desk at home and is a pleasure to use.
It is tactile and engaging and the high quality paper with clear layout mean that I am drawn to write in and look at it every day; sometimes just for the pleasure of doing so.
Mark + Fold have a clear winner - a subtle refined everyday luxury
I love using it; I love having it on my desk!
Everywhere I go, people ask me where I got it.
