At this time of year, many of us feel compelled to declare resolutions, which can end up feeling like rather punishing self-improvement targets, rather than things we can actually look forward to!
So this year, we are inviting you to share your plans for the year ahead instead, because putting things in the Diary (either in pen, or pencil), gives us things to look forward to as the days start getting longer and the year starts to take shape.
For a chance to win a 2026 Diary Gift Set with your choice of Diary, simply tell us in the comments below: 'What's in the Diary for 2026?'. See below for further details.
To kick things off, we invited some friends of Mark+Fold to share their plans for the year and here's what they had to say:

Margo Selby, British textile artist
"We are handweaving Vestements for Blackburn Cathedral's centenary this year, its a very special project which is keeping all the weavers busy."
Amy Cooper-Wright, Mark+Fold Founder
"After an incredible 10th anniversary year for Mark+Fold, I am excited to build on everything that we achieved last year. I am also hoping that 'Uncle Mark' will be treating me to a paper research trip to Japan!"

Patrick Grant, designer, presenter and founder of Community Clothing
"Trying to write another book, and now my house is largely done a lot of serious gardening."

Magnus Long, furniture designer
"Travel. Play. New collaborations."

I’m finally getting to the point where I can seriously consider my office, and talk about memory loss and greif after a catastrophic head injury in October 2023. I’m hoping it’s the start of sorting out my books and work.

In my 2026 Diary, I’m capturing the little things that matter. Afternoons at work get little checkmarks for tasks done, funny moments with teammates, or random sparks of inspiration. After work, I’ve penciled in time for hobbies, friends, and even doing nothing at all sometimes. Weekends and blank pages are ready for surprises. This year, my Diary isn’t about pressure—it’s about looking forward to the days, one page at a time… and filling them with moments I’ll actually want to remember ✨

INTENTIONS FOR 2026
The superpower I choose to cultivate.
This notebook is my training ground —
the place where I choose to develop the superpower of lightness.
I have been seeking a gentler way of being:
a way to walk through life with grace,
to touch the world without weight,
to see beauty in simplicity.
I admire this quiet intelligence
that transforms the ordinary into the extraordinary,
that makes no noise, yet leaves a lasting imprint.
If I could choose one superpower, it would be this.
And it is here, page by page,
that I begin to learn it.
This journey will be even more meaningful
if I can take it with the pages of your diary, Mark & Fold.
I hope to be with you, present, in this 2026 project. ✨
