Last month we hosted a pop-up on Brick Lane to mark ten years of Mark+Fold, as featured in Wallpaper* magazine. The space came together thanks to the generous support of our friends at Another Country, who kindly loaned a selection of their beautiful oak furniture to create the perfect backdrop for our paper goods.

We have been partnering with Another Country since 2016, first as a stockist and later in collaboration on our 'Another Notebook' and bespoke desk pads for visitors to their Marylebone showroom to joy down their wishlists and notes.
Their approach to pared-back, purposeful design aligns closely with ours, as well as their commitment to transparent, local, sustainable production. There was something very satisfying about watching visitors leaf through our notebooks on their beautiful furniture.
Below are the pieces you may have spotted if you dropped in.

Our “dream desk” for the event was the Hardy Desk and Hardy Chair designed by our friend David Irwin and also celebrating its 10th birthday this year. The refined, slightly architectural profile of the desk gave our tools of work a moment to breathe. It reminded us why David’s approach resonates so strongly with Mark+Fold: clarity, refinement and confidence. We’re excited to be in conversation with him about a collaboration for 2026 — watch this space!

The Fram Shelves, seen below with our Travel Journal, have that rare mix of presence and lightness. We specially loved the details — tactile grooves in the shelves, and a lovely seri-circle profile on the uprights. Their open compartments gave us room to show Mark+Fold products in a way that felt spacious.

Dining Table Five was the centre-piece of our space. At 2.5m long, it lent real gravitas to our display of 2026 Diaries, Notebooks and Stationery Gift Sets. It’s a piece that carries the signature Another Country character: rounded edges, tactile finishes and what Paul de Zwart once described to us as the furniture’s “woody waxy” scent.

For our anniversary talks series, we hosted an extra 40 people to the shop! And so we were thrilled to have the stylish and minimal Base Stools by Origin Furniture to help host these special events in style. As practical as they are pleasing, the stools stack neatly too!
