We are so proud to have been recognised at the International Society of Typographic Designers Awards ceremony yesterday evening at the stunning Brighton Pavilion.
We were awarded for the Mark+Fold Diary 2024, which was designed by our talented friend Catherine Nippe in collaboration with Mark+Fold founder Amy Cooper-Wright.
Thank you to ISTD, GF Smith and all the organisers and sponsors for such a great event.
The ISTD Awards is a prestigious global award recognising excellence in typographic design. We are humbled to be among such great company among the awardees including TM Studio, Nomad, Pentagram, Mark Porter, Studio Blackburn, and to have been selected by such an incredible line-up of judges including Paula Scher, Vince Frost, Eduardo del Fraile and Simon Esterson.
The typographic genius of our diary design is down to Catherine, with Amy focused on the customer research and overall concept development. Over the next few weeks Catherine will take us on a deep dive into the details - from the special grid system that underlies every page, to the many micro decisions about line weights and patterns, the choice of typeface and how it is used. As anyone who uses our diary will tell you, it just feels ‘right’ but there was a lot of thought that went into making it so!
This will be a real treat for all the typo nerds out there, and for anyone who uses the diary every day.
