This week, we are travelling up to the Lake District to visit not one, but two, paper mills in one day. And they are very different: one is an industrial machine-made paper factory, the other is totally stripped back and used only traditional hand processes. It will be such a privilege to see both in one day, to compare and contrast these two very different, equally special and equally skilled methods of making paper.

This is also the first time we are taking a group of customers with us. Sharing making stories has been part of our DNA since we started Mark+Fold back in 2015, and Amy regularly shares her trips to paper mills, printers and binderies. But this is the first time that we are bringing some of you along on the ultimate grown-up field trip! And we hope it will be the first of many.
You can join us virtually via our Instagram stories, where we will share as much as we can during the trip. You can also learn more about the paper mill and shop the products that are made with papers from this mill below.
