We have had the privilege to work with a number of brand who share our commitment to quality and transparency, and an understated approach to design. We have produced stationery ranges in collaboration with Bamford, Connolly, Harvey Nichols and Another Country.

We also take on private commissions from businesses and individuals wanting to create something bespoke. For more information or to discuss a potential project, drop us a line.

Notebooks for Connolly

Working with the original ‘Connollyland’ illustrations by artist Rose Blake, and the iconic Connolly brand, we created a small range of notebooks to be housed in a beautiful leather case, hand-made in Spain. Taking cues from the leather experts’ past clients, the colour palette references the red and green leather of the seats in the House of Lords and the House of Commons. Available exclusively from Connolly England, 4 Clifford Street, Mayfair, London.

Another Notebook

Our second collaboration with British furniture makers Another Country, drawing on their muted earthy colour palette and our shared commitment to provenance and uncompromising quality. The range is available at and at the Another Country shop in London Marylebone.

Takeo Travel Journal

As part of the ‘Cultures of Giving’ exhibition, we were invited by Takeo Papers to create a conceptual Travel Journal using some of their exquisite papers, made in Japan. We explored the possibilities of slotting tickets and mementos into pockets of different shapes and sizes, making small incisions in the paper to create spaces between the pages. The Travel Journal is on display at the G.F.Smith Showspace in London from 8 November — 21 December 2018.

Margo Selby Notebooks

In 2017 we had the pleasure of collaborating with British weaver Margo Selby, on a series of notebooks that transpose her woven patterns into the medium of print. When we visited Margo’s Whitstable studio, every surface was saturated with texture and colour, decadently large pieces of fabric hang from the walls, tempting you to dive into them. Margo’s work is full of three-dimensionality, made up of individual coloured threads, so it had to be translated in such a way as to keep all of this character and tactility, to reflect the story of the making process. Hand-made for SCP

Following our first Special Edition for SCP in 2016, we have developed a new series to be launched in their London stores and online in spring 2017. The Exercise Books are individually hand-made at our London studio, using waxed linen thread. The covers are in a kraft ‘Nomad’ card, with endpapers in Mandarin Orange, Sky Blue and Smoke Grey, all milled in the Lake District.

Mark+Fold for Bamford

We’ve been working closely with the creative team at Bamford to develop a range of notebooks celebrating our shared approach to fine materials and making. Reflecting Bamford’s inimitable palette of muted greys and whites, the range includes Exercise Books hand-made at our London studio, as well as Natural Linen Journals with end papers in Japanese Yomoushi (Sheeps’ Wool Paper), and a cool black-on-black Mens’ Notebook featuring our signature Ota-binding. Each notebook has been individually numbered and hand-wrapped in delicate 35gsm paper.

We developed a set of three notebooks for Another Country. Designed to reflect their beautifully understated palette, the series includes matt black, terracotta and camel shade from the Keaykolor range, which are milled in France. The notebooks feature our signature inset fore-edge detail and are sewn using waxed linen thread. The notebooks were hand-made at our London studio in June, 2016. They are available exclusively in Another Country’s Marylebone shop and online at

To mark the launch of the new Menswear Lifestyle space, Project 109, we designed and hand-made a series of five notebooks specially for Harvey Nichols. The papers are made at an historic mill in the UK’s Lake District and include shades of grey and navy, with rough and smooth textured papers, and highlights of ‘egg yolk’ yellow. With echoes between them, the notebooks can be paired up in a number of different combinations, as a set of two, three, four or five. Inspired by the palette of the Scandinavian coastline, the notebooks are designed to sit well alongside the clothing in the new space by Norse Projects, Oliver Spencer et al. Hand-sewn at our London studio using waxed linen thread from Northern Ireland, in contrasting colours to complement the luxurious papers used. The pages, as ever, are remarkably soft, 120gsm, milled at Stoneywood in Aberdeenshire.

Since 1985, SCP have been known for modern design objects that are well-made and designed to last. We had the privilege to design and hand-make a Limited Edition of notebooks for them, inspired by our shared love of modern design, with a series of crisp spring colours. The limited edition of 40 notebooks per colour are now stocked in their shops in Shoreditch and Portobello, alongside our signature Mark One notebooks.
