    2018 DIARY

    , , , ,
Following the success of our first Diary in 2017, we have collaborated again with Swiss-German graphic designer, Catherine Nippe, for our 2018 Diary. We developed the clean page layouts, in response to research and discussions with diary users back in 2016. We wanted to provide maximum writing space, stripping away any unnecessary page clutter, providing a helpful 'picture of the week.' The 2018 Diary has a cover in grey-green, with copper foil details. The page layouts are printed in muted grey. The diary has 112 pages, with a week-per-spread and a year overview for 2018 and 2019. They are printed in Netherlands by Drukkerij Tielen, and ota-bound at Binderij Hexspoor for a perfect layflat. First batch of 300, September 2017. As with all our notebooks and diaries, each diary is individually numbered and hand-wrapped at our London workshop. In response to feedback from users of our 2017 Diary, we have made some tweaks : — we are including a set of brass page markers with each copy, to help you keep track of the current week, and important dates coming up — we have avoided printing on the end pages to allow more white space

Our friends at Doe share our commitment to exceptionally high quality materials and make, and a pared-back aesthetic that lets the materials speak for themselves. From both angles, the idea of a leather cover for a notebook had been something in mind for some time, and we are very excited to reveal the outcome of our collaboration. Limited edition of 24, each with a different embossed leather used for the pen loop, taken from Doe’s historic archive, dating back to the 1930s. Each variation is shown here, and requests for a specific one can be accommodated subject to availability. The leather covers are designed to slot over the cover of all notebooks and diaries in the Mark+Fold range, meaning that they can be used time and time again and will develop a beautiful patina with use — bridle hide is a material that gets better with age. Needless to say, the leather had to be the best — bridle leather, hand-waxed in the UK. — Fits an A5 softback notebook — Black bridle leather — Made in Walsall, England — Limited edition of 24 — September 2017
